Case Report

A 62 year old gentleman was seen in the Pain Clinic with neck pain.  The pain started in the neck but then went down the right arm.  He got occasional pins and needles in the right arm.  In 2000 he was diagnosed with cervical spondylosis and an MRI scan revealed 2 cervical disc prolapses.  The gentleman was booked in for a cervical epidural.  This was performed under x ray guidance with aseptic technique.

The gentleman was seen approximately 2 months following the cervical epidural and had a complete resolution of his symptoms.  He had the occasional twinge in his neck but otherwise this was significantly improved.  He was discharged from the clinic and will be seen again should his symptoms reoccur.
