Consultant Interventional Radiologist
MB BS, MMED, FRACR
David Connell is a musculoskeletal radiologist at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in London.
He undertook basic radiology training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital in Australia, before undertaking fellowships in intervention and MRI in London, and a musculoskeletal fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.
Dr Connell is the author of 67 original publications and book chapters and has produced educational CD-Roms on ultrasound of the shoulder, elbow and hand. He has been an invited speaker to major meetings in 17 different countries around the world.
Dr Connell was a radiologist at the Sydney Olympics is an examiner for the RANZCR and is the past president of AMSIG (Australasian Musculoskeletal Imaging Group). He sits on the BSSR Imaging Committee for the 2012 British Olympics.
He has an appointment as a senior lecturer at Melbourne University, a senior researcher at University Collage London and is on the editorial review board of 4 international journals. His interests include sports imaging, muscle and tendon repair/regeneration and also spinal intervention.
